GMM: How long have you been a photographer?
Tony G: Since 2008, but have gotten more serious in my craft in the past two years.
GMM: How did you get your start?
Tony G: I was the guy that took the pictures at the party. Eventually it evolved into a hobby which in turned evolved into what it is now
GMM: Do you like to keep your techniques a secret or do you like to share with others?
Tony G: I help when I can, if it wasn’t for fellow photogs sharing tips with me, may not be where I am now with my craft.
GMM: Who would you love to shoot?
Tony G: I love shooting new faces when I can. Each and every shoot brings improvement and a new experience.
GMM: Who is the most famous model you have shot with?
Tony G: I truly believe each model I shoot with has the potential to get up there. I try to help them along the way.
GMM: What makes you different from the other photographers?
Tony G: I know I’m not the best. I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I’m always learning and I always will be. I believe your technique and style are constantly evolving into something better. I like to bring out the personality in the models I shoot with, I feel when their personality shines, it brings out the best images. I also tend to keep shooting evening during touch ups as I find candids captivating
GMM: Who is your favorite photographer?
Tony G: Louis C. Curtis – great guy and great photographer.
GMM: What is your ultimate goal as a photographer?
Tony G: To continue capturing what my eyes see and help aspiring models reach their dreams.

Tony G: Personality, Expressiveness, and a Great Work Ethic

Shooting, Models, Locations
GMM: Do you have a favorite location to shoot?
Tony G: Absolutely love the NYLO, but give me a clear day and I’ll find a background.
GMM: Do you bring Hairstylist and Make up artist to your shoots?
Tony G: Depends on situation. I have many great HMUA available when needed.
GMM:Do models try to play you for gimmees? If so, does it work?
Tony G: Yes – if it’s a really great shoot and I enjoyed working with the model, I don’t mind giving a few extra images.
GMM: Do you find it challenging to be around such beautiful models?
Tony G: Not at all, I tend to get along with many types of people. We end up having fun and making great images.
GMM: Do you use model mayhem?
Tony G: Yes, I’ve put out casting calls in the past for calendars and promotion work.
GMM: What is your favorite social network?
Tony G: Facebook.
GMM:What do you love about Facebook and what do you hate about Facebook?
Tony G: I love instant feedback and seeing how much the models I shoot love their images. I hate the drama.
GMM: Do you think photographers get a bad rap?
Tony G: Absolutely, and in all honesty, I think models should be wary of a lot of photographers. I’ve seen it first-hand where a photographer kept ‘insisting’ on the model doing something she was absolutely uncomfortable with, ending up telling her she was difficult and hard to work with. I strive to make the models I work with as comfortable as possible.
GMM: What is the worst experience you can remember from a photoshoot?
Tony G: Worst experience would be having a place booked for 6 hours is getting it cut down to 2. Still got the images we needed, but it was definitely a stressful time.
GMM: Do you see a solid career for the bikini models?
Tony G: Yes, but maybe that’s because I don’t see much of a difference between a bikini and lingerie. Promotional work will always be needed and sex will always sell.
GMM: Is there anything you want to express now that people should know about this business?
Tony G: I don’t believe you’ll ever truly know what you’re doing but as long as you stride to learn and have fun along the way, I think you’ll be ok.
