GMM: So tell us a bit about yourself:
My nameĀ Katie and I’m a Nurse from New York, NY. I’m of Italian and Irish descent and my measurements are 34b-24-34. Five words that describe me would have to be:Ā smart, determined, silly, hardworking, insightful and I’m a Gemini! I would say my best asset is my butt! But I get most compliments on my eyes!
Tell us about your modeling career?
I started to model because I wanted something fun to do on the side while I was in school pursuing nursing, eventually I wanted to see how far I could go with in it in terms of being published. Presently, I’m not signed with an agency.Ā I enjoy a lot of aspects about modeling. Ā It’s so much fun to go on shoots and get made up, it makes me feel special, it helps me build confidence, and I love networking and meeting new people through my hobby.
What are the top three things you like to shoot?
Lingerie, bikini, and implied work.
Take us through your getting ready to model, routine?
The day before a shoot I always make sure to get a mani-pedi (its so relaxing to get one besides)…the morning of I make sure to eat a good breakfast, as most shoots take a few hours along with hair and makeup, and lastly I make sure I come with a positive attitude ready to give it my all!
As a model, what would you say has been your biggest obstacle?
I think my biggest obstacle as a model was learning to love myself for who I am, and trying not to compare myself with other women in the industry. I’ll never be tall enough to be a runway model, but that is OK – I am beautiful just the way I am and I feel a lot of models in general struggle to realize that. Once you are happy with yourself a much better, brighter world of opportunities opens up for you.
If you did walk away from modeling, how would you like to be remembered?
I would love to be remembered for having a positive attitude and a great person to work with, I would like to have inspired other models to pursue their dreams of being published and to never give up on what they truly want for themselves!
